This one day course is specifically designed for the first aid appointed person in the workplace. Covering HSE guidelines and regulations for businesses as well as teaching skills to deal with life threatening situations and common conditions.You will learn:•Regulations surrounding First Aid in the workplace•How to effectively manage an incident•CPR procedures needed to perform resuscitation•Introduction to the use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED)•Common medical emergencies experienced at work•Wound management including the control of catastrophic bleedingWho can attend:Anyone who wants to learn basic first aid in the workplace or is appointed to deal with First Aid incidents in a low risk business environment. For higher risk places of work you may want to consider the full First Aid at Work course.
You Will Learn:As above in Emergency First Aid at WorkPlus:- Human Physiology- Defibrillator (AED) use in depth- Disorders of breathing, circulation and consciousness- How to deal with bleeding, burns, fractures and head injuries.
This is the full 3 day course to become a first aider in the workplace. Covering all aspects of first aid, this course very practical in its nature and you will get to practice your skills in scenario based exercises.Who can attend:Anyone who wants a deeper understanding of First Aid or who works in either a higher risk environment or a low risk environment which employs more than 50 staff.
